Wakiso
District is a district that lies at the periphery of Kampala city in all directions.It is in central Uganda, rapidly becoming urbanized, with the main economic activities in trade and industry.

But notable among the indigenous residents are also some famous members of society like former vice president Prof. Gilbert Bukenya. He's the member of parliament for Busiro County North constituency in Wakiso district.

Wakiso borders Nakaseke and Luweero to the north,
Mukono to the east, Kalangala on Lake Victoria to the south,
Mpigi to the southwest and Mityana to the northwest.
District Headquarters:
Wakiso, 20 kilometres northwest of Kampala.
