Soroti is the major town in the Teso sub-region in eastern Uganda.
This is home district for National Resistance Movement - NRM's Vice Chairperson Capt. Mike Mukula. He's a member of parliament for Soroti Municipality and a former minister in Uganda cabinet.
The district where the East African Aviation School is located, borders Amuria to the north, Katakwi to
the east, Ngora to the southeast, Serere to the south, and Kaberamaido to the west.
