Serere district is a relatively new formation in the Teso sub-region in Eastern Uganda. It's home district for Forum for Democratic Change - FDC's former Secretary General Alice Alaso who is also the district woman member of parliament.
Serere borders Soroti to the north, Ngora to the
east, Pallisa, Kaliro and Buyende districts to the south, and Kaberamaido to the west.
District Headquarters: Serere, 35 kilometres south of Soroti.
