Nakaseke District is the home district of National Resistance Movement (NRM) party treasurer Rosemary Namayanja who is also the district woman member of parliament 2011-16.

The district borders Nakasongola to
the north and northeast, Luweero to the southeast, Wakiso to
the south, Mityana to the southwest, Masindi to the northwest. and Kiboga and Kyankwanzi to the west.
