Buhweju is a district in
Western Uganda. It is one of the districts that constitute the Ankole
sub-region. It's a new district that was recently carved out of Bushenyi district.
Buhweju borders another new district Rubirizi to the west and northwest. Other districts it borders are, Ibanda to the northeast, Mbarara to the east, Sheema to the
southeast, and Bushenyi to the southwest.
District Headquarters: Nsiika town, 50 kilometres northwest of Mbarara.
