Lamwo district is a new district in the Acholi sub-region that lies at the border line of Uganda and the Republic of South Sudan which is to the north.
In Uganda, Lamwo borders Kitgum to the
east and southeast, Pader to the south, Gulu to the
southwest, and Amuru to the west.
District Headquarters: Lamwo, 66 kilometres northwest of Kitgum.
