Kiryandongo district is in the Bunyoro sub-region in western Uganda. Following the 2012 Bududa mudslides in Eastern Uganda that left hundreds of people displaced, most of the affected persons were relocated to Kiryandongo because there was vast free land.
Kiryandongo district borders Nwoya to the north, Oyam to the
northeast, Apac to the east, and Masindi to the south and
west.
District Headquarters: Kiryandongo, 230 kilometres northwest of Kampala.
