Kiruhura District

The country home of the current Head of State, President Yoweri Museveni, is located in Rwakitura, Nyabushozi County, in Kiruhura District.

Kiruhura is in the Ankore sub-region in western Uganda, bordering Kamwenge and Kyegegwa districts to the north, Rakai to the southeast, Sembabule to the northeast, Lyantonde to the east, Isingiro to the south, Mbarara to the southwest and Ibanda to the northwest.

District Headquarters: Kiruhura, 65 kilometres northeast of Mbarara.
