Kaliro district is a relatively new district that was carved out of Kamuli.
It borders Serere to the north, across Lake Kyoga, Pallisa to the northeast, Namutumba to the southeast, Iganga to
the south, Luuka to the southwest, and Buyende to the northwest.
District Headquarters: Kaliro, 40 kilometres north of Iganga.
