Apac district was the location of the infamous Aboke
abductions by the Lord's Resistance Army in 1996.
The district borders Oyam to the northeast, Kole to the
north, Lira to the northeast, Dokolo to the east, Amolatar to the south, Nakasongola to the southwest and Kiryandongo to the west.
District Headquarters: Apac, 62 kilometres southwest of Lira.
