Mitooma District

Mitooma is a new district in western Uganda. It was previously in Bushenyi. It is the home district of Retired Major General Kahinda Otafiire, the Cabinet Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs and member of parliament for Ruhinda County in the district.

Mitooma borders the parent district of Bushenyi to the north, and other districts including Sheema to the east, Ntungamo to the south, and Rukungiri to the west.

District Headquarters: Mitooma, 30 kilometres south of Bushenyi.
